Description
This project features the implementation of an automated storage system for the mold warehouse of a screw manufacturer in Southern Taiwan. The system is a medium-sized 7-meter model with a single-load capacity of 500 kg, designed for the storage, classification, and inbound/outbound management of production molds.
The customer wanted to address several challenges in its existing mold warehouse, including excessive floor space usage caused by open racking, time-consuming mold searches, and the difficulty of maintaining accurate inventory records through manual management. Based on the site’s 7.5-meter height condition, JY STE Technology proposed a vertical automated storage system equipped with automatic height detection, storage location allocation, and a WMS warehouse management system.
After implementation, molds can be quickly retrieved through system-assigned storage locations, reducing manual search time and improving operational efficiency through a goods-to-person workflow. The mold warehouse has been upgraded from conventional rack-based management to a smarter storage environment that is more accurate, space-saving, and efficient.
