Description

This project features the implementation of an automated storage system for the tool demonstration line-side warehouse of a leading machine tool manufacturer. The system is a large 4-meter model with a single-load capacity of 300 kg, designed for the centralized storage, classified management, and inbound/outbound handling of cutting tools.

Before the upgrade, the customer managed tools with conventional tool racks. Because tool specifications were diverse and visual identification was not always easy, the existing setup often led to management challenges. Open storage also lacked proper access control, while flat, space-consuming storage layouts reduced line-side efficiency and affected the accuracy of tool management.

To address these issues, JY STE Technology introduced a large line-side automated storage system tailored to the needs of the tool demonstration line. The solution incorporates position indication, account-based access control, real-time access records, and a vertical storage design to improve the limitations of conventional tool management.

After implementation, tools can be centrally managed and retrieved more efficiently through the system.
