Description
This project is an automated storage system implementation case for the general warehouse of a U.S.-based testing and certification organization in Taiwan. The equipment specifications are a medium-sized 5-meter automated storage system with a load capacity of 300 kg per tray. It is mainly used for the centralized storage, inventory control, and environmental management of testing instruments and related materials.
The customer previously faced issues including moisture exposure, discrepancies between inventory records and actual quantities, and inconsistent material storage and retrieval practices. Based on the customer’s requirements, Apex Equipment Co., Ltd. planned and implemented a medium-sized 5-meter smart warehousing system. Through an enclosed storage space, temperature and humidity monitoring, First-In, First-Out (FIFO) management, and real-time inventory updates, the system helps address the limitations of traditional warehouse management.
After implementation, testing instruments and materials can be centrally managed within a systematic inventory management environment. This not only reduces the risk of moisture exposure and material deterioration, but also helps reduce expiration and scrapping through FIFO management and improves discrepancies between system records and physical inventory, making general warehouse management more accurate, secure, and efficient.
